The Last of Us. Naughty Dog’s New Game.
My friends over at Naughty Dog have been secretly working on a new IP and they pulled the curtain back tonight at the SpikeVGAs. The Last of Us looks pretty damn cool. Looking forward to seeing more of it.
Grouplove at Vera Project
A couple weeks ago I went to see Grouplove at the Vera Project. Their song Colours was etched into my head while playing this years Madden, and the song is just so damn catchy that I thought I’d check them out. I took a listen to the rest of their album as well and it is pretty good. First thing. Vera Project is really young. I feel old at most concerts now, but I felt really out of place at Vera Project. I swear Chris Hanson was going to walk in or something. Quite strange seeing lots of ‘hip’ parents taking their kids to a show. Anyway, I took my camera and filmed Grouplove perform Colours which they closed with. Good show, well worth checking them out if they are in your town.
Ballard Locks in 30 Seconds
I was out at the Ballard Locks a while ago and filmed the entire transfer. Very cool process. Boats are raised 30 feet from sea level to match Salmon Bay.

Ben Kweller Live back in 2002/2003
I can’t remember if this was in 2002 or 2003, but here is some old footage I filmed of Ben Kweller rocking it at Graceland (now El Corazon) almost a decade ago. I think I still have the tape of the entire show someplace. Time files!!
New video for Introducing Palace Player from Mew
Mew is set to release their new album No More Stories… next week in the United States, and they happening to be playing Boston this weekend at The Paradise. I have seen Mew twice back in Seattle, and they put on an amazing visual and audio show. I am pretty excited as Mew is only doing a handful of shows before the release of the albums in the States. One of the hot bands in the blogshpere right now is Seattle’s own Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band, who happens to be playing the Middle East Downstairs on Friday the 3rd. I plan on check them out. Their new self titled album was released a couple weeks ago and well worth checking out.
